Your Source for Breeding Stock Females
Focus on Fundamentals
|
Our foundation herd of Kiko goats began in 2011 with 5 doelings. Since then we have grown our herd raising over 500 kids. We have thorough documentation concerning the performance of each doe and her progeny. This reveals trends in performance and pedigree on a forage only program. The focus of evaluation is on birth weight, rank, 90 day weaning weight, average daily gain, 150 day doeling weight, mature weight, FAMACHA scores, de-worming, and hoof trimming. The records help us to assess the efficiency of our herd and to keep us on track in raising quality breeding stock. We strive to raise does that combine the total package of hardiness, parasite resistance, maternal instincts, low maintenance, productivity, efficiency, and longevity.
